Reason (van driver in Victoria Falls)
Joy (waiter in Victoria Falls)
Sonnet (sommelier at Hartenberg Estate in Stellenbosch)                                                 Vitalis (guide extraordinaire)

Closing safari thoughts...

(1) When forced to pack a combined total of 26 lbs. or even 44 lbs., consider disposable underwear, or even better, pantie liners, which are much lighter and don't take up much space.

(2) While on safari, keep your camera always at the ready, because as soon as you put it away, something extraordinary will happen.

(3) Be open to trying new foods - especially warthog (sorry William), because it just might turn out to be the best thing on the menu.

(4) Be aware that African time is not written in stone, and add the following suffix (-ish) to whichever number you are referring to (i.e. We'll meet in the lobby around 5ish). Distance/time most often is vague as well (i.e. The toilets are about 15 minutes away). DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! Add at least a half hour:)

(5) Be ready to carb load every hour on the hour. In my 2 safaris to Africa, I have enjoyed the best bread, muffins and pasta I have ever had.

(6) Finally, if you get the chance to experience a safari, you should. It will be an unforgettable experience.

SO WITH THE ANIMALS, I WISH YOU GOODBYE.

NEXT STOP GREECE IN MAY, 2012.

THE END
